Relief that leads to recovery

YADAMA Relief & Rehabilitation Foundation is a humanitarian organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and communities affected by poverty, disability, illness and hardship.

We provide immediate humanitarian relief while investing in long-term rehabilitation that restores independence, improves quality of life and creates hope for the future. Through partnerships with local communities, healthcare professionals, volunteers and supporters, we help vulnerable people rebuild their lives.

About this programme

Rehabilitation is not a privilege

For many people living with disabilities in Sierra Leone, rehabilitation remains out of reach because of limited funding, too few rehabilitation professionals, scarce equipment and healthcare resources, and low public awareness.

Without the right support, a stroke survivor may lose independence, a child with cerebral palsy may go without supportive seating or early intervention, and an older adult may be unable to walk safely without a basic mobility aid.

These are barriers to education, employment, social inclusion and everyday life. We believe rehabilitation is a fundamental part of healthcare and human dignity.

Mosque Fall Prevention & Accessibility Project

Equipment delivered to the mosque: a toilet support frame, a boxed high-back chair and an emergency assistance alarm Project 3 · Ongoing · London

Safer worship for older people

After an Occupational Therapy assessment of the building, we supplied and fitted a toilet support frame, a high-back chair with armrests and an emergency call-bell system. Falls-prevention awareness and accessibility work continue.

Impact goal: increase independence, prevent injuries and promote a safe worship environment.
